Things to do

-The classics:

Grand’ place: the heart of Brussels and the place to start getting to know the city is the Grand’ Place. This historic market square with its splendid guild houses and the impressive Gothic beauty of the Town Hall, is widely considered to be one of the most beautiful town squares in Europe.

Manneken-pis: this statue of a little boy in a somewhat compromising position has since several centuries been a major tourist attraction in the city.

Place de la bourse: the main facade, overlooking the Place de la Bourse, has wonderfully rich figurative ornamentation with a crowning figure symbolizing Belgium itself.

The Atomium: it is a monument built for Expo '58, the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. It has nine steel spheres connected so that the whole forms the shape of a unit cell of an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times.

The Mont des arts: the Mont des Arts is built on the rise linking the downtown centre of Brussels with the wealthier uptown quarters. In centre stands the equestrian statue that represents King Albert I.

The halles saint géry: surprising market hall, it accommodates today many artists and exposures.

Rue neuve: the city's main shopping street where one can find clothes and the like, but also loads of nice little shops as City 2, a shopping complex on this particular road.

-…Do as Belgian do!:

Delirium: if you're thinking of visiting Brussels and your plans also include some fun and the tasting of beer, then Delirium Cafe is the place for you! It's pretty near the old centre of the city and it's a great place to spend the evening with your friends over a pint of beer. The atmosphere is just fantastic since the bar is always crowded and the music really loud. Just try and see: it'll  just make you delirious with pleasure. Enjoy!

The Botanique :Effigy of the culture of Brussels, it is within a flowered framework that  the rooms of Botanique receive the artists, musicians and exhibitions. Its localization in the gardens of the Botanique make it a place of predilection mixing culture and nature for the Belgians.

The bois de la Cambre : Better known as the Central Park of Brussels. Nearly 125 hectares of forests, fields, ponds, and paths that cater to every imaginable whim. Pedestrians, drivers, horse riders, cyclists, inline skaters, and more; everyone finds the means there of escaping the stress from the town life.
